Superstar reinterprets, at the highest level of carbon fibre innovation, the legendary Italian road racing bicycle, the Cinelli that embodies heritage and   DNA   of the brand.

Unlike other brands that every year offer bicycles with an increasingly narrower intended use, Cinelli developed the Superstar with an obsessive attention to how the intrinsic qualities of carbon fiber and the production processes could be used to create a tremendously contemporary edition of the legendary Italian “Grand Tour” quality in the saddle: a clever balance of   lightness , perfect   maneuverability   on every bottom and   comfort   over long distances.

So Superstar not only adheres to traditional Italian racing geometry (72.5° head tube and 415 mm low rear), but is also characterized by frame shapes that allow for great precision in the laying of the different layers of carbon in the production process (it is interesting to note, for example, how the tangent lines that join the horizontal and oblique to the head tube allow the fiber to develop along its entire length, thus offering the best possible weight-stiffness ratio). The horizontal tube, with the innovative cusp, works to compensate for the typical deformations of the head tube when the frame is subjected to sudden vertical or horizontal forces due to potholes or very damaged road surfaces. The controlled deformation keeps the head tube 8% more parallel to the original shape, thus allowing for better control and greater maneuverability in rough and bumpy conditions. The use of polyurethane molds, both external and – something very unique and rare – internal, during the hardening process, to obtain the greatest compression of the fibers with the least use of resin, thus guarantees greater durability and reliability of the frame over time.

GCD (Geometry Controlled Deformation)   The special curve of the horizontal bar ensures that the steering angle is constant even in the presence of strong vertical stresses on the frame, typically deforming, such as a bump in the road surface or a jerk while standing on the pedals. This improves steering precision and the predictability of the bicycle's dynamic behavior.

CCL (Combed Carbon Layering)   The absence of “sharp edges” on the surface allows for full exploitation of the size and continuity of the carbon sheet fibres, optimising the overall stiffness of the structure to improve performance.

OCR (Optimal Cable Routing) The internal cable routing is designed so that there are no bottlenecks in the braking system, to ensure that it works at maximum efficiency and to make it easier to maintain.
